tips, ideas, hot-unclaimed
This section, you'll find a wide variety of "insider" secrets you can use to change your life
in major ways: tips on how you can "attract" money by looking richer; hints on how you can travel like the rich no matter how much money you have; ways you can increase your gambling winnings; even some creative ways you can obtain credit even if you're not particularly credit worthy.
How to travel free of charge:
So, you want to visit Europe, the Caribbean or your sister on the West Coast. Like to travel free of charge? It's easier than you may think.
(Tips) Here's Tips how to work a deal:
- Talk to your friends and business acquaintances. Find a group of, 10 to 16 people (5 to 8 couples) Who would like to visit the same place you're interested in.
- After you get a strong indication from these folks that they would, indeed, take such a trip, you visit a travel agent.
- Tell the agent you're trying to build a career in outside travel sales and that you'd like to show what you can do by booking this group's trip through his agency. All you want in return is the opportunity to be the tour escort and, of course, to have your travel expenses paid.
- You may be surprised at the response. Such an arrangement, after all, doesn't cost the travel agent a cent, since cruise lines and airlines give passes for each 10 or 15 tickets sold to a group ... and the agency gains by receiving full commissions on the entire package.
How to get along with just about everybody:
List of Commandments
- Speak to people you meet. There's nothing as pleasing as a cheerful word of greeting.
- Smile at people you meet. It's not only pleasant, it saves energy since it takes 72 muscles to frown, just 14 to smile.
- Call those you meet by name whenever possible. The sweetest sound to the human ear is the sound of that human's own name.
- Be friendly and helpful to those you know. If you want friends you've got to act like a friend.
- Be pleasant and cordial. Speak and act as if the things you're doing and saying give you pleasure.
- Be generous with praise and cautious with criticism. A pat on the back will gain a friend much quicker than a punch in the eye.
- (Tips) Be interested in those you meet. If you try, you can honestly like almost anybody.
- Be truly considerate of feelings. Even in a controversy, try to put yourself in the other fellow's shoes.
- Try to be of service to others. In the final analysis, it's what we do for other people that's important.
- IF YOU'RE ABLE TO DO ALL OF THE ABOVE WITH HUMOR, PATIENCE AND HUMILITY, YOU'LL FIND YOUR LIFE REWARDING AND FILLED WITH JOY.
Tips - HOW TO EAT LIKE A KING WHILE YOU'RE TRAVELING
This is one I love to use abroad, and the U.S.
at least to major cities, it's possible to eat like a king... or a foreign diplomat or other dignitary ... relatively easily and, best of all, for free. All you really need, in fact, is a willingness to do a little work and some dress-up clothes.
Here's all you do:
- When you arrive in a major city ... let's say Los Angeles, contact, by telephone, foreign embassies or foreign consulates. (They're listed in the white pages, by country - and in most yellow pages under "Consulates & other foreign Government Representatives".) Ask whomever answers the telephone what special events are scheduled during the time you'll be in town.
- Undoubtedly, you'll find several embassies, consulates or government offices hosting special receptions, usually in honor of a visiting government figure, business leader or recognized artist, during your stay, many of these receptions are open to the public, provided the public looks wealthy.
- Dress up and go. Eat fancy hors d'oeuvre, drink free drinks, and rub elbows with the rich and famous. (Your collection of personal photos will stager your friends and family)
19 Tips to look rich and successful:
These Tips will insure the section above is a success
Money attracts money and success breeds success. There's no doubt at all about the veracity of those statements. That's why, in fact, so many salesmen make a real effort to always look rich and successful, even if they're still looking for their first sale.
Some ways you can look rich even when you're not:
- Always keep your hair cut and/or styled. It's an inexpensive way to look wealthy
- Carry a well-made leather attached case.
- Spend the money to buy an inexpensive
but rich looking ball-point or fountain pen.
- Spend a few dollars on high-quality "costume" grade jewelry. A gold-tone chain for a woman or a French cuffed shirt with gold-plated cuff links for a man work wonders.
- Always have a suntan, even if it means using one of the artificial tanning products available.
- Buy some good accessories - a leather pocket or purse appointment book, a good cigarette lighter, a brass business card case: these little items look successful and rich.
- Spend the money (man or woman) for a professional manicure.
- Buy and wear designer sunglasses or look-alikes.
- Go to the library and read up on clothes coordination. Dress for success with a minimal investment by purchasing mix-and-match clothing.
- Dress up an inexpensive suit or dress with an obviously expensive necktie (men) or scarf (women).
- Tips if you're a smoker and you're going to a special business meeting, buy a package of imported cigarettes or, if you're a man, two expensive cigars. Act as if they're nothing special.
- Shop reputable second-hand stores or discount shops (T.J. Maxx or Marshall's) for inexpensive designer clothing.
- Wear something monogrammed or use monogrammed handkerchiefs.
- Tips best - always keep your shoes repaired and well shined.
- If you need to meet clients or customers at the airport, rent a luxury car for the day.
- When relaxing away from the home, dress as if you're going sailing, golfing or out to play tennis. Avoid jeans and torn t-shirts.
- Men should invest in a money clip and then carry folding money in the clip, in a pocket, not in a wallet.
- When talking to people, maintain eye contact, act always interested in what others have to say and be friendly. The rich and successful, contrary to popular opinion, are not aloof.
